Announcing new eco-friendly shipping materials
T Spheres stands for natural wellness – and we can’t claim to do that without doing our part to protect nature. That’s why we’re proud to announce our fully eco-friendly, recyclable shipping mailers!
Alongside this good news, we’d like to share a look behind the scenes at how we keep our environment in mind at every step of the T Spheres production process.
Production materials
We make T Spheres out of a purified, proprietary rubber compound that is recyclable. Our portable T Spheres pouches are made out of natural jute or cotton fibers, and are lined with non-toxic EVA plastic, which is also recyclable.
But what about how we source our jojoba and essential oils? If you’re a fan of aromatherapy, you might know the environmental and social impacts of poorly sourced oils. We make sure to choose our oils with meticulous soul and care from both U.S. and global suppliers with the highest quality and standards in mind. We work with suppliers that believe in sustainable, organic, and fair trade practices providing us with pure and therapeutic-grade oils for our productions. We use no binders, pesticides or harmful ingredients in our oils.
Our organic Jojoba oil batches are sourced from both Israel and Arizona. Our pink grapefruit is from Florida, our peppermint from Washington State, geranium from Egypt, lavender from Hungary, lemongrass from India, and eucalyptus from South Africa.
Production process
In 2023, the T Spheres brand came back to our roots to create the product line in small batches in NYC. While parts are still made by our partners in Hong Kong, Founder Stephanie Whittier adds her healing touch to the oil infusion process in her home in New York, and has been blending our aromatherapy oil line by small batch herself since T Sphere’s inception in 2004.
Distribution
Our distribution partners at EcoShip are 99% plastic free in their shipping operations, and help us at T Spheres define and implement what fully sustainable distribution looks like for our company. That starts with minimal packaging made out of biodegradable materials. They also recognize that ‘carbon credits’ don’t provide the environmental relief they’ve been advertised to. Like we in the wellness space know; there’s no buying your way to a better self, the only solution is to build better habits.
Charitable Involvement
T Spheres’ passion for healing extends to the spirit of charitable involvement. We have supported many organizations, including The MS Marathon Team, FM World Charities’ Skin Cancer Awareness + Screenings, the Birch Camp, the Hell’s Kitchen AIDS Project, Wigs & Wishes, and others. We are dedicated to giving back to charitable foundations and organizations yearly and are happy to provide a full roster upon request.
Your role
We encourage our customers to refill refresher sprays and recycle their “ready for retirement” T Spheres products. This helps with our carbon footprint, and connects our community in the mutual cause to protect our planet. Because what’s the point of keeping ourselves healthy if we’re making our earth sick at the same time?
