Finding your favorite color – Chromotherapy in T Spheres

Finding your favorite color – Chromotherapy in T Spheres

So much of living well comes from living intentionally. At T Spheres, every aspect is thoughtfully created and curated with wellness in mind. Essential oil aficionados might know which of our aromas are best for which moment, but did you know that the colors we choose for each set are also purposeful?

Chromotherapy is the idea that colors can evoke or inspire mindsets and moods. Color therapy plays into the therapeutic associations of our T Spheres sets. Sometimes when setting intentions, like getting our work done or winding down for the night, it can be helpful to support the intention by creating context for it – or “setting the mood."

T Spheres do that through scent (essential oils), sensation (self-massage), and also through sight (with chromotherapy).

Peace & Quiet

Color – Lavender
Aroma – Lavender
Intention – Healing / Relaxation.

Think bubble baths and summer bouquets.

Let’s start with the simplest example: lavender and lavender are an obvious match. As an aromatherapy favorite, it would make sense that using the color in sync with the aroma would strengthen its effect. Color theory associates this soft purple with healing, relaxation, cleanliness, and purity. The  tranquility it fosters is useful for self-reflection and meditation. In the sense that mediation is clearing your mind of intrusive thoughts, it could be considered a form of mental cleanliness.

Perk Up

Color – Light Pink
Aroma – Grapefruit and Peppermint
Intension – Positivity / Joy.

Think sweet citrus and candy canes.

Pink grapefruit for joy and peppermint for energy – it’s like carrying around an optimist in your pocket.
Pink inspires hope and positivity. Light pink specifically carries an idea of innocence, increasing our sensitivity and tenderness. When you’ve hit a bump in the road and find yourself frustrated or dejected, this combo can be a good reminder to go easy on yourself, and help you  find some renewed verve.

Inner Beauty

Color – Rose Red
Aroma – Rose Geranium
Intention – Love / Self Love.

Think natural perfume and intimate moments.

Geranium is grounded in its floral aroma, hence the deep rose color. Not only does this color represent outward emotions like passion, lust, and love, it delves into internal workings, like self-love and how we feel about ourselves. Geranium also has internal effects, promoting estrogen production and hormone balancing benefits. It can also moisturize and soothe irritated skin, resulting in a healthy glow. From internal to external, geranium oil reflects  inner beauty outwards, resulting in a grounded, confident sense of beauty that is best exemplified by deep rose red.

Inner Strength

Color – Yellow
Aroma – Lemongrass and Eucalyptus
Intention – Energy / Happiness

Think active play and striving higher.

Yellow is most famous for its ability to improve your mood. It’s also an attention grabber, its brightness acting as a natural spotlight. With those qualities combined, yellow is good for spreading good vibes, cheering people up, and cheering yourself on. Eucalyptus is often used by athletes to  relieve muscle pain, and yogis link lemongrass to opening your mind and connecting to your higher self. So whether you need a physical or spiritual push to reach higher, this set supplies the enthusiasm.

Empower Mint

Color – Aqua Blue
Aroma – Mint
Intention – Energy / Alertness

Think clear mind and cold water.

Aqua is unique in that it combines the tranquility of deep blue and vibrancy of bright green. It’s calm but clear, evoking focus while also lending itself to creative energy. We pair it with a peppermint aroma counterpart to underline its energetic oomph, and find this combination is best used to  promote alertness, productivity, and support confidence and direction in business ventures or personal projects.

Pure Relief

Color – Light Green
Aroma – None
Intention – Natural Stress Relief

Think deep breaths and springtime walks through the woods.

We go to nature to heal, and light green gives us that feeling of being reconnected to the natural world. Like the moment before you fall asleep, there is no tension or pressure. This set isn’t paired with an aroma, drawing focus solely to  the sensation of self-massage. Or, you might choose to add an aroma that you find stress relieving, personalizing the intention to you.

Who knew there was rhyme or reason behind your favorite color? From painting your room to picking out a yoga mat, you can be intentional in the energy you surround yourself with through color and chromotherapy.
